Len Krause • President and Chief Technical Officer

Len Krause began his computer career in high school stacking punch cards in IBM unit record equipment, and developing a tic-tac-toe game you played against the computer.  He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from The University of Akron.  In 1974 he started Computer/Dynamics, Inc., with his father, Leonard L. Krause.  They sold refrigerator sized, multi-user, CRT based, mini-computers called Basic/Four.  Frustrated by the lack of available software at the time, Len began development of Dynamo, a comprehensive software package designed to help people run their business, and has continued to expand and improve Dynamo ever since.

In 2002, Len founded Excellware to continue the work of Computer/Dynamics.  Len is the chief architect of Excellware's software products including Dynamo, Dynamo Tools (software tools & building blocks), DynaWeb (Dynamo for the web), and DynaScan (Dynamo for portable computers used for inventory control).

Len is active in a variety of volunteer capacities at his church, and plays golf each week during Daylight Savings Time.  If you've played with Len, you know why he won't be quitting his day job anytime soon.

John Steven • Senior Programmer

John develops custom application software for Excellware.  Much of his time is spent at client sites, implementing upgrades and improvements.  John started his computer career with us way back in 1980.

When not developing software, John keeps busy by restoring and reselling real estate.  He has been married to his wife Theresa (herself a former member of the Excellware team) for 23 years and has three children.

Craig has been with Excellware since 1996, after serving in the U.S. Army.  A skilled software writer, Craig also mans the Help Desk, assisting customers with network and PC configuration.

An avid reader, Craig enjoys science fiction, mysteries, and horror.  He also has an interest in American muscle cars.  When not masterminding software, Craig spends time with friends, cheering on their children in various sports.

"It's easy because they've been on winning teams," Craig notes.

John Gilbertson • Senior Programmer

John joined Excellware in 2013 and works mostly at client sites, though he also does custom programming for customers. He attended the Institute of Computer Management to learn computer programming and has been in the business for 40 years — though he says he went to school "before computers."

John has been married for 34 years and has two children who are both also interested in computers. He used to bring home old computers and told his kids to play around with those instead of on his. He likes cars (as long as they are fast!) and motorcycles. He would like to travel anywhere west of Hawaii or east of New York, particularly Japan. He also enjoys walking, saying that it's "finally time to get in shape."

Jason Banks • Office Manager/Technical Writer

Jason joined Excellware in May 2015 after spending 2 years as a Dynamo end-user with another company. Relevant education includes a BA in marketing from Baldwin-Wallace University as well as an MBA from Case Western Reserve University.

Being a big fan of travelling, Jason has visited such European cities as Paris, Munich, Rome, Prague, Dublin, and London and has dipped a toe in the water of Africa when he visited several cities in Morocco. These days, Jason prefers to stay local and spend time with his family and friends.

Outside of the workplace, Jason enjoys playing guitar, cooking, exercising in the MetroParks, and spending time with his son.
